Something exciting is happening at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. Over the next three years, a major expansion will lead to increased capabilities, improved services and a continued commitment to caring for our community in a whole new way.

New Excellence in Patient Care

• New, three-story Starkey Tower featuring all private rooms
• An Emergency Room with new treatment areas and improved design for faster care
• New Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with larger rooms and the latest technology
• More space and private rooms in the Mitchell Rehabilitation Hospital
• Additional parking for improved access
• New digital operating suites with technology that helps physicians minimize your time in surgery
• Cardiovascular suite offering comprehensive care for peripheral vascular disease
• New 64-slice CT scanner for cardiac and vascular imaging
• New classroom and community education space
• New community exercise path on hospital campus

Expanding Care

Our changes and improvements go beyond the four walls of the new building. Our expansion of key services will allow us to make other service improvements. Plus our hospital pharmacy, laboratory and respiratory care areas will be larger and more efficient - all to better meet the needs of our patients and physicians.

The Starkey Tower is slated to open March 1, 2010.

Medical Arts Building

Our three-story building features an expanded sleep disorders center, outpatient lab facility, outpatient rehabilitation services and enclosed, connected walkway to the main hospital. There are also additional offices for primary care physicians and specialists to provide you with personalized care.

Meeting the growing and changing health care needs of our community is at the very heart of our expansion. We're not just building. We're increasing our ability to care for our patients now and in the future.
