Hal Ziecheck, FACHE
Chief Operating Officer, Morton Plant North Bay Hospital

Prior to being named Morton Plant North Bay Hospital's chief operating officer, Hal Ziecheck served as COO of Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater for 16 years.

Ziecheck began his career with Morton Plant Hospital in 1979 as director of the respiratory therapy and perfusion technology department. He has held a variety of positions including cost coordinator, administrative director of cardiopulmonary services, director of special services, and vice president of operations.

In 1984, he received his master's degree in business administration from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. Mr. Ziecheck is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He joined Morton Plant following a highly successful career at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mr. Ziecheck is a fellow for the American College of Healthcare Executives and chairman of the ACHE's Article of the Year Awards Committee. He is also a member of the American Heart Association, a Morton Plant Mease Primary Care Board member, and a member of the advisory committee for the nursing program at Pinellas Technical Education Centers.
