Mease Countryside Hospital is located on 22 acres originally occupied by Mease Dunedin Hospital's satellite clinic. As the needs of the community grew, Mease Hospitals' Board of Trustees responded by building a 100-bed hospital at the clinic site. Ground was broken in 1982, and the new Mease Countryside Hospital opened in 1986.

Today, Mease Countryside Hospital is a thriving 300-bed facility, honored 10 times in the past decade by Thomson's 100 Top Hospitals National Benchmarks for Success studies. With a recent $99 million expansion that includes more operating rooms and inpatient beds, plus a new Women and Children's Center, Pediatric Unit and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Mease Countryside delivers exceptional health care to patients of all ages.
