Morton Plant Hospital Director Becomes President-Elect of the Association of Cancer Executives

CLEARWATER, Fla. (April 30, 2002)--- Morton Plant Hospital Director of Cancer, Diabetes and Wound Services, Tim McMahon was recently elected as the president-elect of the Association of Cancer Executives. In addition to his executive responsibilities, McMahon will serve as the program chairperson for the annual conference scheduled for April 2003 in Tempe, Ariz.

"Tim was chosen over other cancer executives for his seven-year commitment to the Association of Cancer Executives organization," said Hal Ziecheck, chief operating officer of Morton Plant Hospital. "He has been a director with Morton Plant Hospital since 1997 and continues to be instrumental in developing and launching new hospital programs and services related to cancer treatment and care."

The Association of Cancer Executives is a national professional organization of approximately 400 members dedicated to improving cancer program administration and promoting the field of cancer care management. McMahon has been a member since 1995 and previously served on its board as treasurer and director-at-large. He will become president in April 2003.
