Jeffery E. Jensen Named as New interim Vice President of Medical Affairs For Morton Plant Mease Health Care
CLEARWATER, Fla., (January 30, 2009)¾ Morton Plant Mease is announcing the appointment of Jeffery E. Jensen, D.O., M.S., M.B.A., M.P.H., as interim Vice President of Medical Affairs for Morton Plant Hospital.

In this role, Dr. Jensen is responsible for physician leadership and clinical performance development, strategic planning and overseeing quality and standards within Morton Plant Hospital. “This position requires strong leadership abilities, as well as a forward-thinking attitude, and a commitment to this community. Dr. Jensen has exhibited all of these traits for more than 20 years as a community physician, and we believe he will continue to be an integral part in maintaining the standards that Morton Plant Mease Health Care is known for,” said Donald Pocock, M.D., chief medial officer, Morton Plant Mease Health Care.

Dr. Jensen is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and is in private practice with Bay Area Women’s Care in Clearwater, Florida. He was instrumental in establishing a Community Center of Excellence in Women’s Health through the Turley Family Health Center, focused on providing care to underserved women in the community.
