Morton Plant Mease Hosts Breast Cancer Education Seminars for October Awareness Month

CLEARWATER, Fla., (October 5, 2011) – As part of recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Morton Plant Mease will present a series of educational seminars focusing on breast cancer. From questions on diagnosis to treatment options, Morton Plant Mease specialty-trained radiologists and surgical oncologists will be on hand to answer those difficult questions.

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States, other than skin cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in women, after lung cancer. There are more than 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States.
