March Seminars: Osteoporosis and Fatigue
CLEARWATER, Fla., (February 27, 2013) – Morton Plant Mease will present two health seminars geared for older adults focusing on how fatigue can stem from diseases that affect the blood and bone marrow; and how to prevent and live with osteoporosis. The health seminars will be held at Aging Well Center at the Long Center, 1501 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater.
Your Blood Could Make You Tired
Wednesday, March 20
Join medical oncologist Ben Yan, MD, to learn more about how common and not-so-common diseases that affect the blood and bone marrow can contribute to fatigue; and the treatments available to help with fatigue caused by these conditions. Blood pressure, glucose and sleep screenings will be offered before the seminar from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis; no fasting is needed.
Osteoporosis: Prevention and Therapy
Monday, March 25
Physical therapist Carolyn Rickrode, will discuss osteoporosis, how to prevent the bone disease and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle with proper nutrition and exercise.
