BayCare Wellness Centers Kick Off Play It Forward This Summer
CLEARWATER, Fla. (June 25, 2013) – BayCare Wellness Centers introduce a new summer fitness program, Play It Forward, a six-week physical fitness class geared for children ages eight to 14 starting July 9. The Play It Forward fitness program will teach children about the fundamentals of movement and more than 100 exercises they can perform anywhere to help improve athletic performance, prevent injuries, and give them a strong foundation to develop into healthy adults.
The Play It Forward fitness program will run from July 9 through August 15 and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at three wellness center locations:
– Carillon Wellness Center at St. Anthony's Outpatient Center (Carillon), 900 Carillon Parkway, St. Petersburg, FL, from 6-7 p.m.
– Cheek-Powell Wellness Center at Morton Plant Hospital's Cheek-Powell Heart and Vascular Pavilion, 455 Pinellas St., Clearwater, FL, from 6-7 p.m.
– Palm Harbor Wellness Center at Palm Lake Shopping Center, 32672 U.S. Hwy 19 N., Palm Harbor, FL, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Registration and prepayment are required. The cost is $35 for children of Wellness Center members and $45 for non-members. A T-shirt is included. To register a child for the fitness program, call (727) 953-9877.
