Morton Plant Mease Outpatient Center (Trinity) Breaks Ground on New Surgery Center
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. (November 21, 2013) – Morton Plant Mease Outpatient Center (Trinity) recently broke ground on a new project that will expand the BayCare Ambulatory Surgery Center (Trinity) to help meet the future health care needs of the community. The center, which broke ground in October, is scheduled to open in Summer 2014.
“We will be adding and upgrading equipment to provide our patients with advanced surgical care,” said Nancy Burden, Director of Ambulatory Surgery for BayCare Health System. “We also are placing an emphasis on convenience and comfort with close parking and high visibility from Mitchell Boulevard so people can easily find us.”
The new one-story center will be nearly 15,000 square feet, doubling its capacity. It will have four operating rooms, three procedure rooms, 20 pre-op and post-op beds, and five recliner locations for recovery.
The center will continue to offer all of the surgical procedures currently available, as well as endoscopy, and pain management procedures. The lobby, which will be decorated in natural tones, is anticipated to accommodate more than 40 patients and visitors. The project architect is Mason Blau, Clearwater, and the contractor is Creative Contractors, Clearwater.
